During the activity schedule, we will firstly examine the term migration and its different kinds, its causes and effects, the migration and the immigrants, migration policies of the countries together with their good and bad sides. We will continue with working on establishing an empathy towards the immigrants, understanding Turkey’s policy towards migration and its effects on the participant countries also with having a look at how it is being displayed in both local and foreign media by local and foreign politicians.

We will also cover the deal between Turkey and the EU concerning the migration to Europe and the return of immigrants, together with the policy of Turkey on the topic. While doing this, we will listen to the local inhabitants and get their ideas on this vital topic to widen our perspective by seeing the perception of locals on this matter. We will also have a close look at the current socio-economic status of the immigrants in Turkey. We will put all our findings and improved thoughts into a pot following our intense interviews, presentations, simulations, drama activities, group activities and try to find out new possible creative solutions to this ever-growing problem.

On the other hand, our youth exchange gives an opportunity to improve personal skills like language skills, getting into new cultures, sharing ideas freely and so on. During our program, there will be some social activities like cultural nights, barbeque night, scavenger hunt game in the city center, historical and natural places visits, free time in city centers and so on.
